Tarzan

Now the time has come for Disney to interprete the popular and much filmed myth of Tarzan. The result is very satisfactory. It is both a fun, romantic, dramatic, moving and even thoughtful film.
In contrast to Disney's previous feature production Disney has wisely chosen to make the melodious songs (by Phil Collins) an integral part of the story. Instead of interrupting the flow of the story they actually help the story along.
The figure of Tarzan is refreshingly different from what we have seen before. Until Tarzan meets Jane, he is more of an ape than a man. For instance he walks on all fours. Tarzan's identity crisis is a main theme in Disney's version, which both appeals to an adult audience and to children.
