Double Jeopardy is an entertaining, but unoriginal rewriting of "The Fugitive". Ashley Judd has replaced Harrison Ford as the innocent victim, who is convicted of a murder, she has not committed and Tommy Lee Jones repeats his part as the one whose job it is to recapture the hero/heroine on the lam.
It was supposed to be a romantic weekend for Libby Parsons and her husband Nick, but when Libby awakes on their yacht in the night, Nick has disappeared and blood is splattered everywhere. Libby is convicted of murder and goes to jail, but by coincidence she discovers that her husband is not dead at all. He has just faked his own death.
From now on Libby focuses all her energy on a) getting her son back and b) revenging herself on Nick.
