Hoping to find a legendary Indian tribe anthropologist Steven Cale and documentary director Terri Flores and her film crew embark on an expedition on the Amazon into the rain forest.
When the expedition meets hunter Paul Sarone who is having boat troubles, they let him come aboard the river boat. That turns out to be a fatal mistake as Sarone leads them straight into the territory of the giant Anaconda snake.
In spite of its predictable plot, inane dialogue, and especially Jon Voight's over-the-top performance, Anaconda actually manages to be an entertaining horror movie.
