Chicken Run

Chicken Run is a charming and original comedy by Nick Park whose short films about Wallace and his dog Gromit have raised the expectations to Park's first feature film. The technique that Park uses is called claymation, a stop motion technique with puppets made of clay.
Chicken Run is the animation movie's humorous answer to the prisoner escape movie like "The Great Escape". In this case the prisoners are not prisoners of war though, but chickens!
Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy own a chicken farm. To increase profits Mrs. Tweedy invests in a chicken pie machine, which boosts the chickens' escape plans. As it happens, these are actually very intelligent chickens, well, most of them are. None of them would like to end their days in a pie machine, so when Rocky the Flying Rooster lands in their chicken run, they ask him to teach them how to fly. But Rocky hides a terrible secret that is likely to destroy all their hopes and plans.
