Norma Rae

Sally Field won a deserved Oscar for her portrait of Norma Rae, a hardworking textile worker and single parent, who gets involved in organizing the labour in the backward Southern town she lives in. Norma Rae is a woman who has got no idea of her own potential, which is finally realized when the big city union organizer comes to town.
