Light of Day is the story of Joe and his big sister Patti whose lives are centred round rock 'n' roll: They play in a band and only make a little money playing in the local Cleveland bars.
Joe's and Patti's mother does not appreciate her children's life styles, especially not Patti's. Joe is the mediator between his mother and sister. He loves them both, but the task he has set himself is a difficult one because they cannot stand each other.
Light of Day is an entertaining, but unfocused family drama because it spends too much time on the rock 'n' roll aspect. This aspect appears to be important at the beginning, but turns out to be of minor importance.
