Flight of the Navigator is about a 12-year-old boy, David, who gets acquainted with a nice alien. The film has a promising start: when David is out looking for his younger brother, he falls into a chasm. When he wakes up, he immediately runs back home only to find out that he has been missing for 8 years, but David has not aged!
This sci-fi movie is primarily for children. They probably do not mind that the film is terribly silly. The special effects are quite nice, though, considering the age of the film.
