Top Hat is a classic musical with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire as Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont who meet and fall in love, but events occur that make Dale suspect that Jerry is in fact a married man.
The mistaken identities plot and the comic dialogue is a plus, but the many song and dance numbers will hardly have a modern audience's undivided attention, even if Irving Berlin is the composer and Astaire and Rogers are the performers.
And by the way... Venice does not look like that!
