Review
Overlong, pale romantic drama about a police officer, Dutch Van Den Broeck, who finds out that his beloved wife Peyton was among the victims in a plane crash. What shocks him the most is the fact that she was not on a business trip, but on her way to the love nest that she shared with her lover and travelling partner, Cullen Chandler.
Dutch wants to know the whole truth. Therefore he looks up Kay Chandler, a congresswoman who is up for reelection, but not surprisingly she would rather ignore and forget the awful truth. Dutch just will not let her.
Random Hearts has its moments, but the thin plot drags on for more than two long hours. The equally thin subplot seems to be tacked on to give the film more substance.
