Wild Wild West

Wild Wild West is a western, a science-fiction and an action comedy all at the same time, but the result of this genre mix is not a very satisfactory one. Wild Wild West is simply over the top, but that does not keep it from being entertaining.

1869: Even though they cannot stand each other, the army officer James West and the US marshall Artemus Gordon have to work together to save the USA from the madman Dr. Arliss Loveless. He plans to overthrow the President and the Government in order to divide the country between himself and the old colonial powers.

Wild Wild West is yet another adaptation of a 60s TV-series, but even though this 'genre' seems so popular among Hollywood producers these days, success is no guarantee. "The Avengers" is another sad example of this.
