Dark City

Gloomy science fiction in film noir style with a similar and no less intricate plot to that in "The Matrix". In both aliens manipulate human minds in order to take over human bodies.

When John Murdoch is awoken by a phone ringing, he cannot remember anything at all. The voice on the phone tells him that he is a serial killer, but John finds it hard to believe.

Gradually John finds out he and the other inhabitants in the dark city are guinea-pigs in a huge experiment conducted by a dying race of aliens.
