Review
Girl, Interrupted is mainly set in Claymoore, a psychiatric hospital in New England in 1967. After a suicide attempt 17-year-old Susanna Kaysen is committed to Claymoore. Susanna's mental illness is nothing compared to that of her new friends, though.
Angelina Jolie was awarded the Academy Award for her performance as the sociopath Lisa, who is charming, reckless and more ill than Susanna realizes.
Unfortunately Jolie's Lisa and many of the other supporting characters overshadow the main character who seems nothing but a sullen, spoiled teenager.
