20 Million Miles to Earth

A spaceship coming back from Venus crashes off the coast of Sicily. Pepe, a local boy, finds a sealed container among the wreckage and sells its contents to the zoologist Dr. Leonardo who finds out that he has come upon a whole new species. He immediately starts out for the zoo in Rome with the animal that keeps growing and growing.

Rather disappointing monster movie with special effects by the acclaimed Ray Harryhausen, but apart from those the film has nothing else to recommend it. Watch Roland Emmerich's "Godzilla" or Steven Spielberg's "The Lost World" instead.
