Polish Wedding is a portrayal of the excentric Pzoniak family in Detroit.
Jadzia and Bolek are Polish Catholics trying to forge a new existence in the USA. When their 15-year-old daughter Hala becomes pregnant, abortion is not an option so the Pzoniaks will do all that is within their power to make Hala's boyfriend, local cop Russell, marry her - whether he wants to or not.
The plot is almost non-existent in Theresa Connelly's film so do not spend any time looking for it (the plot). The film has not much to offer apart from some strong performances from Claire Danes and Lena Olin as the sensual and passionate Jadzia, but verging on the stereotypical even these jar.
