Review
Det store flip (Wild Flowers) is a funny satire on the hippie movement, the liberated lifestyle and dreams of communist revolution in Denmark in the early 1970s.
Against his will Christoffer and his parents, Maria and Nisse, move into a big house to live together with other adults and children. Christoffer is soon fed up with the lack of privacy and sharing everything with everybody. Even worse, he is forced to listen to political propaganda every Saturday.
The film shows how the idealistic communist ideas of solidarity and sharing collapse because eventually the inhabitants of the house all turn out to be individualists pursuing their own goals.
