Review

Run for Your Life is a political thriller about a rather controversial subject, refugees and their rights.

An Eastern European woman, who has just given birth, runs away when the police turn up at the hospital to deport her from Sweden. Catti, who has just had a baby too, shares a room with the refugee and she discovers that the woman has left her baby behind. Ingrid, a nurse, persuades Catti to take care of the baby until further notice. Suddenly Catti and her husband Mikael have become so deeply involved in a cause the consequences of which they cannot foresee: they are forced to live as fugitives in their own country.

For some reason Swedish movies tend to be critical of society. This also goes for Run for Your Life, which takes a rather one-sided view of the issue. Nevertheless this is a strong movie which raises some interesting questions.
