Nurse Betty

Nurse Betty is a black comedy about Betty, a waitress, who is a devoted fan of the hospital soap "A Reason to Love" and totally infatuated with its handsome hero, doctor David Ravell.

When Betty witnesses the murder of her husband Del by hitmen Charley and Wesley, she goes mad. Actually she suffers from the delusion that her favourite show is not fiction, but reality and that she is destined to be with the doctor!

Betty leaves for L.A., but Charley and Wesley are tracking her down. They need to find her and kill her as she is a witness. Secondly, Del has hidden drugs in the car without Betty's knowledge.

Betty is an anti-heroine in this media satire, which contains quite a few unpleasant scenes, but it is still much more warm-hearted - and more mainstream - than the director's previous films.
