Taxi 2

The action comedy Taxi 2 is the sequel to the French box-office hit, and it offers more of the same. The film starts off in fine form, but along the way it becomes too silly and generally coasts along too much.

Samy Naceri once again plays the lead as the speed-loving taxi driver Daniel, whose driving skills and quick wits are needed again when the Japanese mafia kidnaps a Japanese minister on an official visit to Marseilles. As usual, the policeman Emilien and his superiors are not much use in the hunt for the hard-hitting and hard-kicking terrorists. Emilien is so busy courting his blonde colleague Petra that he does not notice her being kidnapped right under his nose! Fortunately, Daniel is a friend in need.
