The Package

The Package is an exciting thriller about the American sergeant Johnny Gallagher, who slowly discovers that he has become a pawn in a game of high politics devised by high-ranking Cold Warriors.

Gallagher is to escort a fellow countryman of the same rank as himself from Berlin back to the USA. The prisoner escapes after their arrival, however, and as Gallagher notes, not without help. To find out what is going on, he seeks out his ex-wife Eileen, who is now above him in the military hierarchy. It turns out that the "package" was a hitman!

As Gallagher continues to dig into the case, others try to neutralise him and everyone who works with him. Gallagher is up against powerful people who have no interest in the continued détente between the superpowers, the Soviet Union and the USA. They have not reckoned with Gallagher, however, who fights back tooth and nail. The question, though, is whether he will survive long enough to expose the conspiracy.
