Just like "Who Framed Roger Rabbitt?", Space Jam is a mixture of an ordinary feature film and a Warner Bros. cartoon.
A group of hostile cartoon characters show up in Loony Land to abduct Pip, Sylvester and all the other Loony Toons to their amusement planet which has nowhere near enough attractions.
The Loony Toons suggest that they play a basketball game. Only if the foreigners win, can they bring the Loony Toons back to their planet with them. The Loony Toons think they have a good chance of winning not knowing that fair play is not part of the vocabulary of their 'guests'.
As the story is just as silly as in the old five-minute-cartoons, you have to be under the age of 12 or a basketball fan to fully appreciate spending almost one and a half hours in the company of the Loony Toons.
