Paoda shuang deng

Paoda shuang deng ("Red Firecracker, Green Firecracker") is a real melodrama disguised in superior visuals and restrained performances.

At the beginning of the century Chun Zhi, a young woman, is the only heir to a firecracker factory. She is not permitted to marry, but she has not given it a thought until she meets a poor, young painter, Niu Bao, and falls in love with him. However, the manager does all he can to prevent an alliance.

Paoda shuang deng is a romantic, slow-paced drama, which I enjoyed watching.
