Jack & Sarah cleverly combines comedy and drama in a story about a London-lawyer, Jack, whose wife gives birth to a babygirl, but dies herself. Jack is slowly falling apart when his parents and in-laws make him aware of his responsibilities to his child, whom he names Sarah after her mother.
Jack soon realizes that a nanny is indispensable, so he hires Amy, an American, who moves into his home. Amy loves Sarah, but the relationship between her and Jack grows more complicated as they start developing feelings for each other, feelings that they are both not quite conscious about.
Jack & Sarah may not have the most original story, but if you are a fan of Richard E. Grant, who is not exactly the typical Hollywood-hero, don't miss it.
