This modern film noir has a plot with more twists and turns than any I can remember having seen. The setting is the fashionable Blue Bay, Florida, where highschool teacher Sam Lombardo is accused of raping two of his students, Kelly van Ryan and Suzie Toller. The police detectives Ray Duquette and Gloria Perez suspect that the accusations are fabricated.
This is just the beginning of a story whose plot may seem overly contrived on paper, but it works on the screen. Don't expect to find any in-depth characterizations, because in a plot like this the true nature of the characters are not revealed to us until the very end.
Wild Things would have been even better if it had not been marred by the camera's pointless focus on naked bodies and sex. It seems just sleazy, hardly daring.
