Review
Enemy of the State is a gripping paranoia thriller about a young, black attorney, Robert Dean, whose life is suddenly invaded, kept under surveillance and sabotaged, and he has not got a clue what for. Thomas Brian Reynolds, a ruthless and ambitious boss in the NSA, the National Security Agency (or No Such Agency :-), knows that Dean is in possession of a video tape that could have catastrophic consequences for Reynolds and his secret plans.
Will Smith is Dean, Jon Voight is Reynolds, and Gene Hackman is Dean's secret helper Brill.
The impressive surveillance equipment that both plays an important part in the story and the dynamic visuals does not exist in real life, but it is certainly very effective in the fictional world up on the screen.
