Arlington Road is a serious and thought-provoking thriller that deals with such unpleasant, yet fascinating subjects as terrorism and paranoia in USA.
History professor Michael Faraday teaches a seminar on American terrorism at a university in Washington D.C.
Michael's wife was a FBI agent who was shot during a failed attempt to uncover presumed paramilitary terrorists, so Michael has a rather personal angle on the subject. When Michael begins to suspect that Oliver and Cheryl Lang, the friendly neighbours from across the street, are not who they appear to be, but possible terrorists, his girlfriend Brook accuses him of being paranoid. Michael does not know if he is, but is he now?
Arlington Road is both fast-paced action and psychological drama which is intensified by the exceptional photography and music (the latter by Ennio Morricone).
