Peter von Scholten

Historical drama, which ought to have been more dramatic and exciting, about Peter von Scholten, the last governor-general of the Danish West Indies. He worked to emancipate the slaves, but many influential people opposed his ideas. The slaves were set free in 1848.

Mikael Salomon, who later moved to Hollywood and became a director, is responsible for the magnificent cinematography.
