Runaway Bride

Nine years ago Julia Roberts and Richard Gere met in the hit movie "Pretty Woman". Now they are back together in Runaway Bride, in which Roberts play Maggie Carpenter, a young woman who has made a habit of running away from her own weddings, and Gere is the reporter Ike Graham who stumbles upon the story. On the basis of that he writes a column in which he derides the female sex, but he has not counted on Maggie's response. She writes a letter to the editor that gets him sacked - and this takes him on a trip to Maggie's hometown Hale.

Runaway Bride is a very funny romantic comedy, but towards the end the movie loses its energy.
