Highly entertaining drama about Gwen, an alcoholic, who is sent to a rehabilitation centre after turning up drunk and behaving scandalously at her sister Lily's wedding. Gwen gets to choose between spending time in prison or 28 days in a rehab centre. Understandably, she chooses the latter although at first she will not admit to herself that she has a serious problem.
What differentiates this rather traditional Hollywood film from a mediocre TV-movie are the comedy, the nearly successful reining in of sentimentality and good acting.
