Close Encounters of the Third Kind

The main character in Steven Spielberg's amazing science fiction movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind is Roy Neary, an ordinary American, who encounters a luminous and flying object, that is a UFO, one night. This unusual experience changes his life and it becomes an obsession with him.

Somewhere else a French scientist played by Francois Truffaut is preparing to make contact with beings from outer space.

Impressive special effects.

A successful mix of realistic everyday life and fantastic sci-fi as is also seen in "E. T.", which Close Encounters of the Third Kind can be seen as a precursor of.
