That Thing You Do!

That Thing You Do! is an entertaining drama comedy about a rockband that becomes an overnight success.

The story takes place in the early 60s when The Beatles were enormously popular. In a small provincial town a group of young men form a band, "The Oneders". Mainly because of their new and unorthodox drum player Guy they win a local music contest. Their winning song is so popular that they decide to release it on single. That marks the beginning of their successful, but short careers as stars and teenage idols.

A likable, harmless film.
