Pretty in Pink
1986 · 96 min.
Review
Together with such films as "St. Elmo's Fire" and "The Breakfast Club", Pretty in Pink was a more serious kind of film for young people compared with the puerile teenage films that prevailed in the early 80s.
In this drama, which has its comic turns, Andie, who is played by director John Hughes' star and future wife Molly Ringwald, lives on the wrong side of the tracks. Although it is love at first sight, when Andie meets rich boy Blane, their relationship is almost doomed from the start because people from different sides of the tracks don't date.
