Class Action is a solid court-room drama that differs from other films in that genre because its combatants not only meet in court, but also at home. They are father and daughter, so in fact Class Action is as much a family drama as a court-room drama. It is about the unhappy relationship between a father and his daughter, but it is also about the values and moral standards that they stand for each.
Maggie Ward has a good chance of making partner in the law firm where she works if she manages to defend a car company. Her father, Jedediah Ward, represents the victims of a number of apparantly inexplainable car explosions. Maggie and her father fight their battles both in court and at home.
