King Solomon's Mines is an adaptation of H. Rider Haggard's novel, but it looks more like a cheap "Indiana Jones" rip-off.
Jessie Huston (Sharon Stone before stardom) is looking for her archaeologist father in Africa. He has been kidnapped by the Turkish villain Dogati and the German colonel Bockner because he alone knows the site of the famous King Solomon's mines. Jessie has employed the adventurer Allan Quartermain to help her, but do they stand a chance against Dogati, Bockner and his army, and tribes of cannibals?
Most people, myself included, will probably have a good time watching King Solomon's Mines in spite of the jarring continuity mistakes, the silly plotline, and the many steretypical characters that inhabit the film.
