The Borrowers is a funny and entertaining children's movie with remarkable original visuals. The film is based on the popular novels by Mary Norton about the Borrowers, a little people unknown to human beings.
The tiny Clock family Pod, Homily and their children Arietty and Peagreen live a quiet existence in the Lenders' house, but to survive they have to 'borrow' all necessities from the family.
One day Arietty is captured by the Lender boy Pete, but he only wants to make friends. He tells her that his family have to leave their house in only a week and proposes to move Arietty's entire family to the new house. The Borrowers accept, but wish they had not when Arietty and Peagreen fall off the van and are left behind. An exciting and dangerous adventure is about to start.
