Bound is a stylish neo noir with several surprising plot twists. The first half hour does not bode well as the film shows an excessive preoccupation with naked female bodies and lesbian eroticism. This looks too much like a sleazy male fantasy, but the film pulls itself together.
Violet is a sexy gangster's moll who makes a pass at Corky, an ex-con, who has a job renovating the flat next door. The gangster Caesar has no idea that his mistress is having an affair with the woman next door. The two lovers plan to steal a suitcase full of money that Caesar is in charge of until he can hand it over to its rightful owners, the Marconi family.
