The Waterboy is a silly, feel-good comedy about 31-year-old Bobby Boucher who is fired from his job as a waterboy for a top football team. He becomes the waterboy for another team who has not won a match for ages. By chance the coach finds out that Bobby has a gift for tackling, so he puts him on the team.
Just because Bobby is not too bright, people think it gives them the right to be mean to him, so when Bobby is on the field, he uses all his pent-up anger. The only persons who respect him is his overprotecting mother, the coach, and Vicki Vallencourt.
