Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is a loyal adaptation of the first bestselling book about Harry Potter, a 10-year-old boy with very special powers. In the book and the film we are introduced to Hogwarts, the bording school for junior wizards, which is imaginatively and impressively visualized.
Even though Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is primarily an American production and it is directed by Chris Columbus, an American, the filmmakers have wisely kept to the English setting and atmosphere using a cast of prominent British actors.
A magic and entertaining adventure for children - and adults.

From George W.: |
I've read (and loved) all the Harry Potter books and was - to say the least - a bit worried by the fact that Chris Columbus had been put in charge of the film version of thise magnificient novels. But I take it all back, Chris! The movie is perfect! |
