Most of You Only Live Twice takes place in Japan, so the exotic settings make it easy to distinguish from other Bond-film. This is also the film in which Bond is married to a Japanese. Though it's only a matter of form, he does seem less macho in this relationship.
Once again Bond is up against Spectre. This time the mastermind of the organization is played by Donald Pleasence.
