This drama about a governess and her relationship to the King of Siam in the middle of the eighteenth century is an adaptation of a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Maybe I would have liked it better if I had know the tunes, but I did not.
Unless you find the long song and dance sequences enchanting, you will find that this film drags on and on. The film has just been remade as "Anna and The King" with Jodie Foster in the lead.
