Maybe my evaluation of this film is not quite fair because what I did not like about it when I saw it back in 1986 was the depressing tone.
This effective thriller takes place during World War II, more precisely in 1944, when the Germans decide to move an invaluable collection of paintings from Paris to Germany. In secrecy the French try to prevent the success of the mission.
