Beautiful Girls is a sympathetic comedy drama that takes place in a small working-class town in Massachusetts. Willie who lives in a big city comes home for the high-school reunion. He finds that nothing has changed. Even though his pals are in their late 20s, only Michael has settled with wife and kids. It veritably crawls with beautiful girls in the town, but all the men can think about are supermodels, i.e. women who don't insist that the men commit themselves to them. That is what they, including Willie, are afraid of, but during the time that Willie spends in his hometown, a change takes place in him and his friends.
The film not only deals with male-female relationships, it is also about working-class lives and hopes.
