Biography
Sandra Bullock was born on July 26, 1965 in Arlington, Virginia. She was educated at Washington-Lee High School and at East Carolina University, where she majored in drama. Bullock began her acting career as a child, when she was an extra in the operas where her mother performed. After college, she got a part in the TV-movie " The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman" (1989) and also appeared in "The Preppie Murder" that year. In addition to this she landed the leading part in the never popular TV version of the comedy hit "Working Girl".
From 1989 til 1993 she appeared in such films as "Who Shot Patakango?" (1990) and "Love Potion No. 9" (1992), but it was 1993 that turned her career around. First she co-stared with Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes in the satirical science-fiction movie "Demolition Man" and later the same year she appeared on a bus with Keanu Reeves in the blockbuster hit "Speed". With her cute smile and her ravens black hair, she drove that doomed Greyhound bus into many a male heart. And with her appearance in "While You Were Sleeping" (1995) and "Two If By Sea" from 1996 (also known as "Stolen Hearts") she underlined her position as one of Hollywood´s leading contenders for the title of "America´s Sweetheart". In 1996 she also starred in the
fantastic movie "A Time To Kill" with Matthew McConaughey, Kevin Spacey and the almost-as-cute Ashley Judd. From this movie sprung the rumor of Bullocks romatic interest with McConaughey, an interest she has often since denied without much conviction.
