Thunderball

The SPECTRE organisation is at it again. With the villainous Emilio Largo at its head, SPECTRE hijacks a fighter plane with two atomic bombs on board. SPECTRE threatens to bomb an American or British city unless the two countries' governments cough up a large bag of money. They naturally agree to pay, all the while their super-agents try to track down the two atomic bombs. James Bond has picked up the scent in Nassau in the Bahamas, where Largo has his luxury villa and his ship and, not least, his beautiful mistress Domino.

Remade as "Never Say Never Again", which I didn't notice at all.
