Review
Idioterne (The Idiots) is about a group of young people who pretend to be idiots. This play-acting also takes place in public, which results in many awkward situations. One of the 'idiots' is Karen, who needs the group much more than they realize.
Like the other Dogma-films Idioterne is also shot in a documentary style, but unlike them it is intentionally amateurish, which enforces the sense of reality.
Idioterne is a provoking filmic experiment both in form and content, but it is not the masterpiece the Danish media proclaimed it.
